To praise the Lord in the dance—Pslams 149:3
To love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength—Mark 12:30
To make His praise glorious—Exodus 15:20
To rejoice and usher in God’s presence—Psalm 150:4
To express joy and victory—II Samuel 6:14
To willingly present our bodies as living sacrifices to the Lord via the dance—Romans 12:1
Through our dance and in all we do; we do it for the glory of God. We vow to teach, encourage, and inspire others to worship God through the use of the movement arts. Rather than just learning the dance, as a dancer, I will listen to the Holy Spirit and move as He instructs. Through participation in this ministry, we seek to bring ourselves closer to Go. We are not here to entertain – only to minister to others.
As a Godly outlet for all those who desire to praise God through dance, we will visually interpret selected songs to express the message of God’s good news.
The dance ministry members do not “perform,” but are in service to Worship. We should lead people into Worship.
As a team member you must be committed, considerate, and responsible to everyone involved within the ministry. You are a vital part of the team.
It is important that you follow through with any tasks that are assigned. We ask that you pray regularly for each team member and attend scheduled practices.
It is expected that each dancer be attentive during ministry practices and events and focused on the Spirit.
There is no regard for age or dance experience. Members and those looking to become members should be of good health and have a willing and cooperative spirit.
